Join three FT Cardiothoracic Surgeon and two Physician Assistants in a growing practice that offers a beautiful, new OR area which includes 11 OR Suites, 1 Hybrid Room, 2 IR Suites, 2 Cath Lab Suites, 1 EP Suite and the DaVinci Robot.*Previous surgical experience required, CV preferred; may consider new graduates if extensive background/experience in surgical field.Practice in high-volume clinic & hospital settingAssist in OR in CT/CV/Device surgeriesManagement of CCU/ICU patients; Pre- and Post-op orders, discharge planning, roundingCollaborative practice with excellent clinic staff10-12 patients per day1-5 procedures per dayWork Monday-Friday plus on-call for emergent cases overnight.Weekend coverage 1:3 for hospital rounding, management of critical patients, weekend discharges, and surgical coverage for emergent surgeries.The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is assigned to Surgical Services for the purpose of providing patient care under the supervision of the attending physician(s) in accordance with the rules, regulations, bylaws of the Medical Staff Office with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in surgery. Independently delivering clinical services to patients within the services line within the limits of their privileges. Complies with Essentia Health standards, policies and procedures, contributes to customer satisfaction, participates in quality assurance improvement, supports and participates in team approach to the delivery of patient care within the department, service line and hospital. Fiscally responsible for the level of care prescribed/delivered and the appropriate utilization of resources.
