Department/Unit SummaryOur community is growing and thriving. To better serve our communities growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currently under a complete renovation to better serve our patients. The new Emergency Department will be a 31-bed unit with a 4:1 ratio for acute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. Our Emergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespan for all medical emergencies. We are a designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Additional requirements include:
·American Heart Association Basic Life Support
·Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
·American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
·Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required, or within six (6) months of hire
·Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred
