Pharmacists are valued as an integral part of the clinical oncology team. With world-class technology, personal connections, and care that’s easier to access and understand, Novant Health is with patients every step of the way on their journey to health and wellness.Essential functions include:Clinical review, entry and modification of oncology treatment plans.Oncology order verification, hazardous and non-hazardous sterile admixture check.Partnership with clinic providers and nursing to provide remarkable patient care.Proficiency with equipment and software.Participation in committees such as P&T, tumor boards and shared governance.Order set review and development.Medication therapy management and patient counseling.Completes all NH regulatory self-audits, reviews results with one-up leader, and corrects identified opportunities.Develops, designs, and implements service line outcomes projects and clinical initiatives as directed by leadership team.PIC maintains name and signature on applicable Board of Pharmacy (BOP) permit. Facilitates BOP on-site inspections. Signs DHHS application and serves as primary point of contact for the DHHS permit (if applicable). Overview: The hours for the position will be 7:30a – 5p Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and 7:30a – 1:30p on Wednesday.Ambulatory clinic experience preferred.In partnership with the Clinic Administrator, ensures implementation and success of NHMG goals, organizes and directs the clinical environment, and coordinates teams to assure effective care is given to provide quality patient care in physician practices. Supervises up to 9 FTEs. The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, delegate and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death and takes ownership in creating an environment that allows team members to be present with patients and families. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
