Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of other staff.The Registered Nurse renders skilled nursing care to patients in an Out-patient setting according to approved departmental policies. The Ambulatory Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse is charged with performance of ordered procedures, interpretation of data/observations and documenting services rendered. The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department s policies and procedures. In times of staff shortage or patient load, the Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse may be called upon to assist with evening Infusion visits.Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. Supervises assigned team members. Assists with orienting new employees and students as required.Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:1.
