Job Description:As Saab continues to grow its state-of-the-art, advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN, we are seeking Manufacturing Supervisors to support our 3rd shift operation and help build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force new military trainer, the T-7A Red Hawk. We are looking for driven leaders that are passionate about teamwork and creating value in our production operation. The successful candidates will work closely with the Production Manager and other Manufacturing Supervisors to accomplish the goals set for the production team and overall organization.Responsibilities will include:Supervise and lead daily manufacturing operations Clearly communicate daily production goalsReport out on structural assembly operationsEnsure efficient daily operations of the advanced manufacturing operationConsistently demonstrate and uphold our Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and SupportChampion a positive and high-performance work cultureMentor the team and provide training and coaching to improve performanceDrive employee accountability to established work processes and work rulesEmpower work teams to align to production KPI’s and overall business goalsFacilitate the recruiting, selection, and training of new team members for their areaMonitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer serviceDemonstrate an understanding of the company policies and local work rules, including safety, quality and FOD preventionAdhere to the Saab 6S program and maintain a clean environment at all timesCommunicate and collaborate effectively with management, team members and support rolesImplement continuous improvement action plansOversee and approve work hours for production team on a daily and weekly basisOther tasks as assigned by ManagerCompensation Range: $78,900 - $98,600The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.Skills and Experience:10+ years of relevant work experiencein a manufacturing environment is required, experience in advanced manufacturing is a plus5+ years of proven supervisory/ leadership experienceSupervisory experience in aerospace environment is preferredAssociate’s or Bachelor's degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Aeronautics, or a related field is preferredExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is requiredExperience in an AS9100 or ISO environment is desirableExperience using MES and ERP systems Proven ability to work effectively across departments, and align on goals Ability to lead by example, to build positive and productive work relationshipsExperience driving performance and behavioral accountability within work team Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer timelines.
