Overview: The Dietitian Registered working under close supervision, is responsible for providing individualized medical nutrition therapy for patients and residents within Cone Health. This role helps complete assessments of patients and track their progress in order to monitor the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and help create better health outcomes for the patients. Responsibilities: Completes nutritional assessments and documents results using the Nutrition Care Process.Utilizes the principles of the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam to identify malnutrition and/or micronutrient deficiencies.Utilizes order-writing privileges to include initiating and managing nutrition support. Serves as a nutrition resource to departmental and organizational staff, precept dietetic interns and nutrition students.Assesses knowledge, skills, and abilities for self-development and goal setting.Participates in quality improvement activities within the clinical nutrition team.
