Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Department/Unit SummaryOur community is growing and thriving. To better serve our community's growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currently under complete renovation to better serve our patients. The new Emergency Department will be a 31-bed unit with a 4:1 ratio for acute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. Our Emergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespan for all medical emergencies. We are a designated Chest Pain Center & Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. Qualifications:Qualifications and requirementsGraduate of a Professional Nursing program requiredBachelor's degree preferredAdditional requirements include: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required, or within six (6) months of hire Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred Minimum of one (1) year of RN clinical experience in an emergency department required.
