Electrical & Instrumentation TechnicianFull-time, PermanentOne-siteLocation: Demopolis, ALAt Drax, we are working towards a zero-carbon, sustainable future and you can help make this future a reality.If you are a team player, adaptable to change, and have a hands-on attitude, join the team as a Electrical & Instrumentation Tech.So, what will you be doing As an electrical and instrumentation technician, you will be responsible formaintaining the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the production facility.The individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance of the facility’s electrical equipment.About the Role:Some of your day-to-day duties include:Inspects, tests, adjusts, calibrates, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, and recordInspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuationsMaintains a functional knowledge of the operations software and hardwareMake preventative maintenance inspections of all control instrumentationTroubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failuresComplete work order cycles, performs work, confirm time, and enter equipment historyDiagnoses existing or potential trouble with plant electrical equipmentCleans, lubricates, calibrates, and adjusts as conditions indicateLays out, installs, and places electrical equipment into servicePerforms housekeeping duties as requested, is responsible for keeping designated area clean and clear of safety hazardsMulti-craft skill set is a plus; ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assignedWho you are You possess the following:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical degree preferred5+ years industrial maintenance experience Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, with minimal supervisionMaintain and adjust equipment to maximize production and minimize downtimeExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); Must have experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and Frequency Drives Must have a professional attitude and work well with othersPromote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety proceduresPerform/coordinate good housekeeping in the facilityMust be willing to work shift which includes weekends, nights, and holidays What’s it like to work at Drax A competitive salary, with opportunities to grow your experience and build an exciting career.A supportive team environment where you will continuously learn and grow.Great health and dental benefits starting from day one at Drax!A 401K matching plan to support your personal and family goals.A company bonus plan which rewards overall Drax performance, safety, and scorecard achievement.If this role sounds good, we’d love to hear from you!
