We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThis position performs routine and emergency ultrasound procedures in accordance with the departmental policy and procedure manual and the Radiologist’s request,producing exams of acceptable technical quality.Knowledge of ultrasound department operations, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required as well asability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner.The technologist in this department provides care for birth to pediatric, pediatric/child patients between 1 and 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 yearsof age; adult patients between 18 to 65 years of age and geriatric patients 65 years and older.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date(RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer requiredGraduation from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of cardiac sonography programlicensure upon hire may be substituted for graduation from an accredited programLafayette Regional Health CenterEducation: Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of cardiac sonography program. 1 year of experience in Sonography AND required is a 25+ bed critical access hospital. Knowledge of radiology operations, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCurrent registration/licensure/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. If new graduate, must obtain ARRT within six months of registry eligible dateCertification in Computerized Tomography preferred.
