Act as a resource for EPIC support for nursing staff, wound care, patient admits/discharges, and inpatient diabetic education as well as bed planning and staffing. Consults with chief nurse executive, physicians, nurse managers, and charge nurses on nursing problems and interpretation/application of hospital and nursing services policies and procedures to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Assists in maintaining performance improvement and CQI activities within the department. Participates in staff scheduling processes in conjunction with the Nurse Managers and the charge nurses on each nursing unit. In the absence of administrative presence serves as the house-wide administrative representative.
