Overview: We are seeking an RN Operating Room Manager, also referred to as a Surgical RN Manager or Perioperative RN Manager in the Operating Room (OR). As an OR Nurse Manager for outpatient surgery procedures, you will oversee all aspects of patient care, resource management, and operational efficiency to ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients undergoing surgical interventions. This is a complex role that will involve coordination, supervision, and clinical oversight. Shift’s Available: Days (Monday through Friday)Employment Type: Full Time (no weekends)Hours: 8hr - 6:30am to 3:00pmLocation: Saint John Hospital – Leavenworth, KSHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels for outpatient procedures in the Operating Room (OR), which may involve creating schedules, assigning staff, and coordinating with other departments to meet patient needs while optimizing efficiencyManage resources within the OR, including medical equipment, supplies, and medications required for outpatient procedures, including that all necessary materials are available and in good working conditionSupervise patient care coordination throughout outpatient surgery procedures, ensure patients are adequately prepared, coordinate with anesthesia providers, and oversee post-procedure care and recoveryEnsure that all outpatient procedures in the OR meet regulatory and quality standards, which involves adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety measures, and compliance with relevant policies and proceduresProvide clinical supervision and support to Operating Room staff, including circulating nurses, scrub nurses, surgical technologists, and other support personnel, you may also provide guidance on patient care issues, assist with complex cases, and facilitate staff training and developmentEnsure effective teamwork and coordination, facilitate communication among surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in outpatient procedures and throughout the perioperative process Qualifications: Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
