Here, you will make an impact by:Initiating, identifying, recommending, and leading projects in the Medical Molding Department to improve: process safety and health/environmental impact, quality, service, and product costBeing responsible for performing and guiding technical activities resulting from approved, self-initiated, or assigned manufacturing programs which can include new process development, process validation, process improvements, and manufacturing scale-upProviding appropriate and timely documentation of work as required by the business unit and being responsible for helping update operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and leading Medical Change Management ProcessesEstablishing and cultivating an extensive network of support (laboratory, quality, financial, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignmentsWillingness to be on-call for paging if there are plant alarms or extensive equipment downtimeYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in an Engineering and/or Science discipline and three (3) years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, product engineering, process development, product development, EHS, and/or Quality in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in Plastics Engineering/ Plastics Engineering Technology or related fieldExperience in plastics injection molding, molding processes, molding equipment, molding materials, and/or mold toolingExperience and knowledge of Scientific molding principles, including but not limited to, the ability to perform tonnage calculations, review mold and machine specifications and determine compatibility, troubleshooting, injection unit capacity, cooling / flow requirements, plastics/resin property understandingExperience in medical validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and project managementAbility to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible to changes; responds with a sense of urgencyWork location:On-site (Columbia, MO)Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
