Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Minnesota license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Shift: 36-48 hours
Scheduling: Dept leadership makes out schedule, schedule made out for 4 weeks at a time.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Up to every third weekend/ holiday.
Holiday Requirements: May be ask to go into the Holiday Rotation.
Call or standby requirement: May be ask to go on-call for low census, call shift is unpaid if voluntarily taken.
Floating Requirements: May be asked to float to MS or MS Peds assignment, assignment typically capped at 1:4.
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients. Must be comfortable mentoring or orientating new staff or other travelers.
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-3; May be asked to flex up to 1:4 based on acuity.
No Stepdown/PCU in the hospital so they will at times take lower acuity patient until they are appropriate for the MS-Tele unit.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Peds- Adults.
-Adult: Medical, Surgical, overdoses, ETOH, belly surgeries, DKA, A.Fib with RVR, COVID, influenza, resp failure, stroke- TNK, pulm edema, CHF, GI Bleeds, MI- trop monitoring, pts waiting for transfers, suicidal idealations, fall, stable head bleeds, no trauma, fractures, PE, sepsis, pneumonia, and more; off hours PACU wake-up.
-Peds:DKA, minor traumas such as concussion, overdose - stable but want monitoring, post surgical wake ups (post appe).
-OB:C-section wake up, OB nurse takes care of baby.
RNs are required to titrate drips: Norepi, epi, vasopressin, diltizem, nitro, ontriotide, lido, precedex, profolol, roc, PCAs, amio, and more.
Must be able to titrate all critical drips.
No Monitor techs, ICU nurses oversee tele for ICU, MS, and OB; Must be able to read and interpret tele appropriately.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any Color Scrubs, will be provided scrubs if going into the OR.
Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 12 hour shift of General Orientation which will include going to floor for a few hours, 1- 12 shift with Preceptor.

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
Driver’s license required for submission
