About the unitOur Ludington Hospital OB unit, is an 8 bed unit that had recent renovations done in 2019 to make the layout of the halls more user friendly. About the unitCorewell Health Gerber Hospital Multispecialty Clinic - Fremont, located at 230 West Oak Street, has a full time opening for an Ambulatory RN Inboxologist. The Inboxologist will focus primarily on the following: Routine medication refills,second level triage, patient advice requests, and patient phone calls.About Outpatient ClinicsCorewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.Scope of workThe Inboxology provider team will manage items that routinely flow into the providers’ in-basket such as: MyChart patient advice requests, second level triage, refills not completed by Health Finch, and phone calls. This work represents nearly 50% of the inbasket volume a provider receives.The protocols and processes that both the nursing team and Inboxology team utilize will be made visible to the provider teams prior to your anticipated go live. Some items that will be routed to Inboxology as a part of this program include:1. These interruptions often detract from our providers’ ability to focus on meaningful patient care. We have listened to our providers who have asked for the removal of unnecessary work from their day. The Inboxology provider team will manage items that routinely flow into the providers’ in-basket such as: MyChart patient advice requests, second level triage, refills not completed by Health Finch, and phone calls. We are in a constant state of improvement with this program and if an opportunity arises to optimize a guideline, we will evaluate and implement the change if deemed appropriate. We are extremely interested in making certain that the processes and protocols make sense, so we will be actively soliciting feedback on what is working well and what will require adjustments. Routine medication refills2. second level triage3. patient advice requests4. patient phone callsIn the future, we anticipate that the Inboxologists will be able to support additional areas of the inbasket.The ambulatory RN along with the APP Inboxologist represent the Inboxologist team. Each practice will have a primary Inboxologist, a secondary Inboxologist, and a tertiary Inboxologist. We have planned for sufficient coverage in the future so we will be able to cover planned and unplanned vacancies. Most of the time, our practice will have their primary Inboxologist but from time to time, we will have to cover your practice with additional Inboxologists.
