3Dis a 22 bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospitalthat specializes in the care of patients admitted with complex medical diagnoses as well as general surgery patients. Nurses are often drawn to 3D for the variety of patients and skills utilized. Our nurses become competent in caring for a large array of both medical patients and the occasional surgical patients. Specifically, our team isknown as being experts innasogastric tubes,urinary catheters,managing tube feeding,and managingthe care of wounds. Some of the patient types we routinely see are respiratory illnesses, acute kidney injuries, diabetic care, septic shock, GI bleed and other acute GI illnesses, sickle cell crisis, pancreatitis and psychiatric care. About this unit4G is a 22 bed unit that cares for a variety of medical and surgical patients, specializing in digestive diseases. Our patient population is an even mix of medical and surgical cases, where you will see colorectal and bariatric surgical patients as well as bowel obstruction, kidney failure, cellulitis, and falls. We are an accredited bariatric surgery center that focuses on continuous quality improvement for our patients. About the unit9 Center is a 24 bed Med/Surg unit at Butterworth Hospital that cares for the general medical and surgical patients. Employees are often drawn to 9-Center for the variety of patients and the team environment. Our employees become competent in caring for a large array of both surgical and medical patients.
