Description: $7500 SIGN ON BONUS Adheres to nursing service behavior standards and is responsible for coordination of patient care in the ambulatory outpatient and surgery area. In collaboration with the Manager, OR Supervisor and Pre-op Surgical Services Coordinator, determines and prepares for specific patient needs, develops and updates ambulatory outpatient and surgery policies and procedures and determines and helps to develop patient teaching needs. Counts sponges, needles, instruments, and other necessary items before, during and after procedure as necessary. Assures that sterile technique is maintained at all times. Functions as patient advocate while patient is under anesthesia. Accompanies patient to recovery room and gives report. Ensures debriefing is completed at the end of surgical procedure and includes the review of all patient specimens and proper handling of specimens.
