About the unit6 South specializes in patients with advanced heart failure, pre or post heart or lung transplant, Left Ventricular Assist devices, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, and respiratory failure necessitating Bipap, or Hi-Flo Nasal Cannula. Individuals are drawn to 6 South as it is a unique environment that allows new grad nurses the opportunity to build a strong foundation in time management and develop their critical thinking skills in non-ICU assignments, while also providing an introduction into ICU level of care. About the unit3E/G is a unique team structure at Blodgett Hospital composed of two separate units but one team. 3E is a 24 bed Med/Surg unit with some Medical Orthopedic patients while 3G is a 22 bed Orthopedic unit primarily serving Total Joint Replacement Patients. Our team works on both units, providing a variety of patient population experience including Total Joint Replacement, Hip Fracture, Osteomyelitis, and other medical patients. Our team works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of professionals including nursing, physicians, APPs, rehab therapists, and care managers to provide high quality, comprehensive care to our patients. About the unit Our 20 bed High Risk Postpartum / Women’s Health unit is located on 7 Center at Butterworth hospital. We provide couplet care, where we care for both mom and baby together. Two thirds of our patient population is typically related to diabetes management, complications due to high blood pressure, Covid 19, and more. We care for newborns that have issues with feeding, blood sugar management, and high bilirubin levels. About this unit3H is a 22 Neuroscience/Spine unit at Blodgett Hospital that specializes in the care of patients admitted with neurological conditions, stroke, and spinal surgeries such as fusions and laminectomies. Employees are often drawn to 3H for the variety of patients while still having a specialty focus. Our employees become competent in caring for a large array of both surgical and medical patients and become experts in the care of patients within our specialties. About the Unit The Grand Rapids Hospitals CT team supports Butterworth Hospital, Blodgett Hospital and Lemmen Holton Cancer Center. This team of over 50 CT techs staffs both hospitals 24/7/365 and Lemmen Holton during weekday business hours. Part- and full-time team members are hired for a specific location and do not flex aside from call coverage. Resource team members are hired to flex across all 3 locations as available shifts allow. There are 9 scanners between those 3 locations- most are Siemens with a couple GE machines across those sites.The Butterworth team specializes in imaging stroke patients, traumas as the level 1 trauma center, cardiac imaging and CT-guided biopsies.
