Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! Weekend Option Program:Weekend RNs/LPNs will be required to work 48 out of 52 weekends per calendar year.Weekends are defined as Saturday and Sunday for day shift and Friday and Saturday night for night shift.RNs/LPNs can request up to 48 hours of PTO on their weekend shifts as well as 48 hours of exchanging a weekend shift for a weekday shift, for a total of 96 hours ‘off’ of the weekend requirement. About the unitWith 2 floors and 165 beds we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. About the unitThe Surgery Department at Corewell Health Greenville consists of 3 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites. The service lines that operate in our space include orthopedics, podiatry, general, hand, ENT, urology, Robotics, Bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology. Scope of work The Surgical Technologist maintains responsibility for preparation of the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, making appropriate responses as needed. Provides sterile instruments and supplies during the surgical procedures. Creates and maintains a sterile environment. Performs surgical sponge, needle and instrument counts. Is responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and principles related to those procedures. Works with physicians to submit preference card changes when discrepancies found and suggests instrument set changes to EMI. Assists in positioning patients for surgical procedures and maintains a protective position throughout the case.
