The Calibration Engineer is responsible for generating optimal base engine calibrations meeting all the program objectives in terms of performance, control stability, lowest fuel consumption whilst minimizing the engine out and tailpipe emissions levels. The setup and control of all engine sensors and actuators for all engine operating conditions under both steady state and transient engine operation is part of the responsibilities. The Calibration Engineer is also responsible for conducting engine hardware and systems testing and supporting all other teams with their standardized and specialized engine test requests. The responsibilities will be carried out across all the different propulsion system concepts and will include varying levels of electrification of the driveline. The Calibration Engineer is responsible for generating optimal base engine calibrations meeting all the program objectives in terms of performance, control stability, lowest fuel consumption whilst minimizing the engine out and tailpipe emissions levels. The setup and control of all engine sensors and actuators for all engine operating conditions under both steady state and transient engine operation is part of the responsibilities. Stellantis' On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer will have the opportunity to develop new diagnostic strategies for electric, engine, and hybrid propulsion control systems. The Diagnostic Calibration Engineer will be able to review system and software designs, generate test plans, manage vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources, and both develop and validate compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs.
