About the unit5 South is a cardiac stepdown or a telemetry unit. We have 32 beds with 28 semi-private rooms and 4 private rooms. Each patient has a telemetry monitor that they are required to wear at all times while on the unit. 5 South thrives on teamwork, kindness, and respect from all team members.
