The Occupational Therapist is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include Responsible for providing clinical consultations, evaluations, and rehabilitation programming for individuals at the Center for Autism. Services may include: preliminary screening of individual needs for OT intervention, ADL and clinical evaluation and treatment, maintaining accurate data and treatment records accounting for treatment activities, and participation of departmental maintenance and program development. Consult with center staff to assure comprehensive delivery of recommended services to individuals. Responsible to adhere to established standards determined by the Nation Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. in all areas of individual intervention and hold valid Michigan licensure. Participate in individual goal development, coordination of services, discharge planning and family education as needed.Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all individuals.Attend and verbally present at team meetings, clinical reviews, staff meetings and in-services. Attends departmental meetings and participates in program development.Order individual specific treatment supplies and equipment.Follow established policies and procedures to ensure safety of staff and individuals.Provide supervision for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and/or OT students as required.Other duties as assigned.
