What you’ll be doing Provide speech language pathology diagnostic and treatment services using selected standardized and informal assessment procedures to determine the nature, severity, and prognosis for rehabilitation of individuals with communication disorders.This includes training in communication, cognitive, dysphagia, and other related service activities for individual clients and client groups. Act as a communication and dysphagia specialist and resource for clinical teams.Ensure individual assessment and participation with goal identification, treatment planning and implementation of treatment plan. The Speech/Language Pathologist - CFA is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: provision of speech and language pathology services to child and adolescent consumers of Hope Network Center for Autism. This includes evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of these services, individual, family, and staff education, communication with physicians and schools and discharge planning. Recommends and implements treatment procedures based on these findings.Provides speech and language therapy services as indicated based on the developmental age/needs of the individual served.Provides leadership and consultation to the Center for Autism staff for skill development.Provides oral-motor and feeding diagnostic services and treatment for children/adolescents/ young adults.Assesses and coordinates for augmentative/assistive communication technology.Provides developmental speech, language and functional communication skill development.Maintains complete and accurate clinical and billing records reflecting clinical services rendered.Keeps supervisor informed of clinical issues, problems, and professional activities.Assists to keep team abreast of research findings and new techniques in the field of child/ adolescent speech/language pathology and cognitive rehabilitation.Participates in quality assurance, program evaluation, and curriculum rating scale activities as assigned.
