Developsfilms in automatic processor and ensures films are of acceptable diagnostic quality and completeness.Transfers images from disc or magnetic media to produce transparency.Ensures patients are free of objects that may interfere with the procedure.Transfers, positions, and instructs patientsregardingthe procedure to obtain and effect the desired radiographic diagnostic results as specified by the physician.Instructs anddemonstratesMRI equipment operation, filming, and other technical aspects for professional staff and students.Notifiesappropriate personnelof equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.Schedules MRI examinations when needed to ensure smooth flow and optimal utilizationof equipment.Operates control console for each patient's scan, including selection of proper imaging techniques;operatesvarious peripheral hardware.Enters patient data at start of examination and monitors data acquisition during procedure.Qualifications:1-2 yearsrelatedspecialtyexperience (i.e.,CT scan)ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsLicensed by State of Maryland or (MR) ARDMS or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance ARRT (MR)Basic Life Support (BLS) This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $56.85

Monitors patients during injection for evidence of contrast reaction.Enters patient and exam data into x-ray computer system and performs computed scan images. Prepares reports andmaintainsrecords of servicerendered, using the radiology department computer system to verify billing and quality assurance. Completes incident reports and anesthesia records when necessary. Reports all technical problems to the supervisor or senior technologist.Assists Radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages. Informs Radiologist of scan results when anomalies or abnormalities are visible. Schedules patient exams and revises daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams from MedSTAR, ER, and other units.Cleans andmaintainsan aseptic working environment for each patient. Films CT scan images andarchiveexams onto tape or optical disk. Ensures adequate supplies are available andis responsible forreplenishing supply levels.Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students. Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, exam, and other necessary functions are correctly entered andmaintained.Qualifications:Associatedegree or one to three years formal training in Radiologic Technology.Completed competency-based training in CT.1-2 years job related experience.ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology)registration.Basic Life Support (BLS).
