Responsibilities: The Occupational Therapy Assistant student implements Occupational therapy programs and provides Occupational therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and/or Occupational Therapy Assistant.1. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student will follow all Powerback Rehabilitation policy andprocedures outlined in the on-boarding and orientation process.2. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student attends and contributes to patient care, staffingconferences and other required meetings as a representative of Occupational therapy, underthe direction of the Occupational Therapist and/or Occupational Therapy Assistant.3. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student is responsible for the effective and efficient deliveryof rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule,and timely documentation of services with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.4. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student works with other members of therehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs andcapabilities of each patient with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.5. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student instructs patients, families and other caregivers inthe skills and techniques of the Occupational therapy treatment program under the supervisionof the Occupational Therapist and/or Occupational Therapy Assistant.6. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.7. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Student cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.8.
