General Summary of PositionAssists pharmacist(s) in all areas of pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, sales transactions, customer service, and purchasing and inventory maintenance. General Summary of PositionThe Medication History Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing medication history assessments for new admissions to the hospital. Works under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Utilizes automation where applicable.Transports medication to patient care units, placing in the designated delivery locations, within established departmental standards for turnaround times.Understands and takes appropriate action when a medication occurrence is identified.
