Department Summary:Boston Children’s Waltham’s Community Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) Program is a 12-bed intensive, short-term acute residential unit for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral health difficulties. We provide children with treatment and stabilization in a structured setting that can act as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or a bridge between an inpatient hospitalization and home. Department SummaryOur 30-bed MSICU cares for medical and surgical patients ranging from newborn to early adult. The patient population is diverse with a variety of medical and surgical needs.
