This position will be full-time, hybrid,and is a contract position. What You'll DoAnalyze existing Microsoft Access applications and develop a comprehensive migration strategyConvert and modernize Access databases by migrating data, rebuilding forms, and upgrading user interfacesRefactor legacy code and queries to enhance performance and maintainabilityValidate functionality and data integrity through structured testing processesDeploy modernized solutions and provide end-user training, documentation, and long-term support plansConduct discovery and requirements gathering by inventorying databases and engaging stakeholdersAnalyze existing data connections and plan integration with target platformsEvaluate current security configurations and implement role-based access control in the new environmentRedesign database schemas and optimize performance to meet enterprise standardsDevelop a migration playbook and provide hands-on training for client staffExecute the transition of Access databases into a secure, scalable data warehouse environmentDevelop internal and external interfaces, custom reports, and data entry formsWhat You'll NeedRequired:Proven experience with Microsoft Access database architecture and conversionStrong understanding of enterprise data warehousing and integration strategiesProficiency in SQL, VBA, and modern database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Azure)Experience with data migration tools and methodologiesKnowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworksAbility to optimize database performance and redesign schemasExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience in training and mentoring technical staffPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorThe pay range for this position is $55 - $65 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
