Additional requirements include:Performs duties as assigned and requested.Completes a focused patient assessment with reassessmentsBased on patient's condition, procedures, medications given and treatments.Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.Performs treatments and provides services to the level of licensure.Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizesPatient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.Educates patient and family on disease process.Department/Unit SummaryPhase 1 recovery - recover patient for 30 minutes to one hour (depending on type of anesthesia given), then send to Phase 2 and give hand off to another nurse.Phase 2 recovery - go over discharge paperwork with family member, give patient snack and medicine. Free to discharge if they meet requirements.
