Coordinates with physicians, Nurse Managers, Nursing personnel and other departments to ensure quality patient care and maintain excellence in guest relations. Provides excellent customer service and ease of referral for outside facilities. Demonstrates effective leadership skills to coordinate activities of unit. Functions as a resource person to nursing personnel. Maintains appropriate staffing on unit. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and possesses ability to assess, interact, communicate and care for age specific populations.Makes initial contact with patients, families and/or referral sources.Conducts thorough assessment of patient, including meeting with patient/family/doctor in ER and seeing patients on the med surg floor for consultations.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.Completes the referral inquiry assessment to include clinical and demographic information.Verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations for admission.Calls doctor for admission ordersWorks as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Maintains contact with patient's family during patient stay if appropriate.Attends care conference and/or treatment meetings to aid in continued stay necessity with insurance providers.Maintains database of all referrals in excel spreadsheet, to maintain prioritization and maximum capacity.Networks with facilities in the region and provides them with marketing information on admission criteria.Attends community meetings and acts as a resource for facilities/families on relevant behavioral health topics.Call Requirement:Every 7th weekend and 1 day during the week with some weeks no callConnect with our RN recruiting specialistNot ready to complete an application, or have questions Please contact Katelin by emailing Minimum QualificationsEducation/Experience:Associate’s degree in nursing requiredBachelor’s degree in nursing preferredCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days of hirePALS and ACLS required within 90 days of hireLicense:Current RN license in the state of KentuckyEEOC Statement“Spring View Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
