Assures that orders are carried out properly per policy.Qualifications:Position Requirements: Current Virginia License at time of hire date.Experience/Education: No previous clinically related nursing experience required. The employee will complete a general orientation program of sufficient duration and content to prepare them for specific duties in the hospital within thirty (30) days of hire date. Unit specific orientation is completed on the nursing unit. Charge Nurse experience preferred.Special Qualifications: Must meet and maintain proficiency requirements of the unit including CPR certification, and successful completion of the unit specific proficiencies annually.

This position requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients. Responsible for providing care to all of the patient population with consideration to age-specificity and diagnosis.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Current BLS certification. Previous experience in acute care hospital setting and at least one year of experience in ER preferred. Requirements will include successful completion of orientation checklist and skills/credentials/competency requirements of specific unit.Requires ability to function in stressful situations. Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice. Ability to accept responsibility and accountability to prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided on assigned units as required with leadership qualities. Requires the cognitive ability and practical ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population assigned, considering patient age, growth and development, and diagnosis with full implementation of the nursing process to include Assessment/Reassessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
