Job Description:At Saab in West Lafayette, IN, you have the opportunity to join a team that manufactures the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. This flagship facility utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques and leverages research and development to support Saab’s broad product portfolio. As Saab continues to expand their team in West Lafayette, IN, we are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to support the operation.Responsibilities include:Authorize assembly process completion and support the assembly team with in-process inspections during the build processValidate, visually and dimensionally, that the product meets requirements compared to engineering drawingsInspect for defects in surfaces, fasteners, sealant, paint, and testingCompile technical data and reports to provide feedback on final inspection results and recommended corrective actionsDevelop deviation reports and represent quality at the Material Review BoardResponsible for monitoring non-conforming material processes and proceduresDeliver high level of workmanship in inspection processes for structural assembly and system installationsParticipate in tooling validation and application to meet product requirements in quality and efficienciesSupport metrology measures as neededDevelop standardization for working procedures for high repeatabilityContribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise, and SupportOther tasks as assigned and authorizedCompensation: Starting pay rate up to $25.00 per hourThe compensation range provided is a general guideline.
