We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to join our night shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (flexible days and hours, including occasional call-ins)
Job Duties Include: Follow all company safety procedures and participate in ongoing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) training. Respond quickly and effectively to equipment failures that impact production or safety. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues involving motors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, PLCs, centrifuges, heat exchangers, steam-tube dryers, boilers, conveyors, augers, hammer mills and process tanks/vessels. Perform routine and preventive maintenance as scheduled. Communicate with the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor and production teams to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime. Accurately record maintenance activities and findings in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Provide repair and preventative maintenance services for the following but not limited to: Sorter, cameras, hardware, auto baggers, Conveyor systems, balers, and associated controls Facility related maintenance activities including, but not limited to general lighting, facility inspections and audits, air compressor systems, and emergency or temporary overhead door repairsRepairs to carts, stands, lifts and material handling equipment used in the daily sorting and transporting of products within the facility. This does not include major repairs or preventative maintenance to powered forkliftsAssist with controls support and troubleshooting. Identify Electrical issues. (Replace standard components – Ex: Photo eyes, MDR’s, Proxes, Encoders, plc’s, emergency stops, conveyor belts)Complete preventive maintenance scheduleMaintain spare parts list and inventoryMaintain material handling system on site once system is installedAssist in controls debugTimely completion of all reports and logs to include time reports and travel expensesMaintain consistent positive and enthusiastic attitudeTimely communication of all concerns and issues with the Facilities ManagerPursue professional training and certificationsAble to mentor other maintenance staffMotivate and inspire the Duluth and subcontractor team.
