We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatrics/school-based settings to join our team in Palatine for the new school year.*The position is 16 hours per week during the school year.*The majority of the population are students with a dx of autism, level 1 and 2. All are highly verbal, but have some regulation needs and some struggle with externalizing behaviors.*You'll be the only OT on campus, but you'll have support from speech therapists, art therapists, music therapists, vocational counselors, restorative interventions and teaching and support staff*We have 70 students today and 75% of those have OT minutes, there will be another OT on site working three days a week to share caseload*Our ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative to support students' sensory needs across the building and through OT groups*Familiarity with IEPs is highly preferred Qualifications: You will need to hold a Master's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same).
