Purpose:
The Manger – Accounting Oil / Industrial Services assists in overseeing the accounting, controlling, and financial analysis for Crystal Clean’s Oil & Industrial Services (IFS) segments. This role manages the periodic accounting close process for the segments, leads the financial analysis of the segments, has primary responsibility for the accounting and analysis of certain Company-wide expense items, plays a key role in the audit, assists with the implementation of new accounting standards, and participates in other accounting, analytical, and special projects on a regular basis.
Essential Duties:
Supervises and provides leadership to 3 direct reports, 2 Accountants and 1 senior accountant.Leads the period-end accounting close process for Oil & IFS segments, including additional close processes at quarter-end and year-endManages the accounting for Oil Business inventory, including the per-unit cost build-up for several raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory articlesManages the transportation accounting and analysisEnsures allocations are accurate and updated at least annuallyPrepares monthly summaries and KPIs for executive distributionWorks closely with other functions, including others within accounting, to ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct fiscal period and in accordance with US GAAP accounting standardsContributes to the preparation and review of materials for quarterly Board of Directors meetingsHelps draft commentary related to the Oil & IFS segments for monthly management meetingsCollaborates with functional leaders and the Segment Controller to help create the annual budget for the Oil & IFS segments, and helps support the quarterly forecasting processAnalyzes the performance of specific locations and the total segment to support business decision-making, maximizing profit, and driving operational efficienciesDevises and implements process improvements to increase efficiencies and enhance internal controls around processes within the functionPlays a key role in the annual external audit, quarterly reviews, and controls testing by preparing audit requests and working with the auditors to explain and document various transactions, business processes, and internal controlsTogether with other accounting leadership, helps lead the Company’s implementation of new accounting standardsOversees accounting functions for the Indianapolis Re-refinery and is expected to travel for site visits quarterly during the year to gain a thorough understanding of the business and its daily functions.

Work Experience
8-12 years of experience in a related field such as accounting, audit, finance, business unit controllership, etc.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations
Bachelor's Degree in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or in-progress a plus
