Who You Are:
Successful candidates for the CDL Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. You are someone with previous over-the-road experience who is familiar with pre and post trip inspections, using online log systems, and don’t mind an overnight trip 1 -2 a week.
What You Will Be Doing:
Transport materials to and from specified destinationsDistribute receipts for loads picked upMaintain truck log, according to state and federal regulationsInspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and waterAssist customer with offloading processPosition blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transitMaintain telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructionsOccasionally collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges
Skills You Bring:
Current/Active CDL Class A License with a good driving recordNo license restrictions. Must be able to operate manual and automatic transmissionMinimum of two year of commercial driving experienceMust pass driver testingMust pass DOT physical (M.E.C.)/ drug testing (DOT)Ability to work in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending, standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stretching, sitting and able to lift a minimum of 75lbs. independentlyProficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageBasic math to understand product weight and truck limitsMap reading skills
