RN working experience in critical nursing experience is preferred.Certifications: Will attend a recognized training course (CDC/APIC) in Infection Prevention/Hospital Epidemiology. Must have and maintain current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within three (3) years of hire into the position. License:RN licensure by the Florida State Board of Nursing, or professional license or certification as appropriate for his/her educational background preferred.Other:Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, and computer and statistical skills necessary for data analysis. Will attend State, Regional or National Infection Prevention conferences as System resources permit. Earns a minimum of 8 CEUs that will enhance their role as an Infection Preventionist during initial orientation and then annually.
