Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking aSurgical Technologistto assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.What will you do in this role Provide care to patients under the direction of the RN in the Surgical Services suite.Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments, and supplies needed for surgical cases.Communicates, interacts, and participates in teamwork on the unit to provide patient care.Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process. Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN.Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.May have access to POS room or designated areas to transport, assemble, or stock inventory of non-scheduled drugs and biologicals to include but not limited to fluids, sterile water, normal saline, and irrigations.Promotes and displays a positive customer-oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.
