The Operating Room Liaison (ORL) is responsible for building relationships between the sterile processing staff and facility administrators to ensure timely communication and problem resolution. The ORL is the point person in making sure equipment, surgical instrumentation and surgical supplies are in place for every surgery and solving any problem that could arise related to a missing or dirty instrument or a scheduling mishap. The ORL will manage case flow during their shift and notify the Sterile Processing Department in advance of additional needs.
