We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsCT TechnologistPOSSIBLE ADDITION if FSER:This full-time CT Technologist opportunity will support our free-standing ER, HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency, opening March 2025 at the corner of Tamiami Trail and Preto Boulevard in Venice. CT Technologists in our free-standing ERs are also responsible for x-rays.We are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensedCT Technologist on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As our CT Technologist, you will be competent in all of the following: brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient care;if you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.As a CT Technologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Select proper technical factors for study then perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accuratelyin a caring, compassionate and respectful mannerPossess sound and thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology systemAssist in the administration of contrast media and other related proceduresPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeObtain high-quality CT images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretationRemain proficient in executing software protocols and keep up to date with changes in the field by in-service study, attending courses or seminars as necessary/recommendedMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistCheck the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary suppliesAccept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient careProficiency in both X-RayandCT is necessary for consideration at our free-standing ER locations.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalency, vocational/technical education, 2-year/Associate level degreeValid ARRT certificationClear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certificationAbility to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital settingHCA Florida Englewood Hospital is a 100 bed acute care hospital. The duties of Care Promoter 1 vary from setting to setting, depending on the size, location and type. In addition to administrative duties, Care Promoters perform clinical duties under direct physician supervision in accordance with state medical practice acts. The Care Promoter 1 is an integral member of a Physician-lead Care Team that is focused on providing excellent and comprehensive primary care for a specific population of patients.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Measures and records patient vital signs; records patient interview and medical history.Catalogs and communicates patient needs to the PCP, Clinician, Specialist and/or other clinical personnel.Prepares patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests; assists physician with exams; explains treatment procedures and physicians' instructions to patient.Observes patients and reports any changes in patient conditions to the PCP, Clinician, Specialist and/or other clinical personnel.Perform non-critical medical and therapeutic procedures based on medical instructions. Collects phlebotomy and other lab specimens; performs basic waived lab tests.Prepares and administers medications; changes dressings, applies bandages, removes sutures and other first aid procedures; uses CPR skills when necessary, all under physician supervision.Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments; practices OSHA safety standards; performs accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.Processes patient phone messages, returning calls and routing them to other team members as appropriate; calls patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician.Upon physician approval and authorization, calls in prescriptions to the pharmacy. Uses communication skills with appropriate medical terminology; and follows appropriate legal and ethical professional conduct; authorized individuals will use the ChenMed Rx system to support physician medication dispensing.Provides health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices.
