Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Neurologist to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The Neurologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions, managing complex cases, and providing educational support to patients to improve their health outcomes. This is a part-time position based at our community health centers in the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island, offering an opportunity to serve an underserved population while working in a collaborative environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and physical assessments to diagnose neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders.Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and other neurological assessments to formulate treatment plans.Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle recommendations, and therapeutic interventions.Provide patient education on neurological disorders, including prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.Work closely with primary care teams, behavioral health professionals, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care and safety.Maintain required certifications and licenses, including ABPN Neurology Certification, CPR/BLS-HCP, and active DEA registration.Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in neurology.
