UCHealth Greeley Hospital, established in 2019, is an 88-bed acute care hospital committed to improving lives and delivering high-quality outcomes to patients in Greeley and surrounding communities including Ault, Eaton, Evans, Johnstown, Kersey, Milliken, Severance, and Windsor. Goals and ObjectivesAs a member of the hospital's senior leadership team, the CNO will:• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing functions at Greeley Hospital.• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care programs and initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care in alignment with the community's specific healthcare needs and UCHealth's mission.• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for nurses and other healthcare professionals, promoting teamwork and shared decision-making.• Partner with medical staff and operational leaders to ensure high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient experience.• Optimize nursing operations and resource utilization to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality care.• Cultivate a culture of excellence in patient care, safety, quality, and employee engagement.• Advance nursing practice and professional development within the hospital, promoting evidence-based care and continuous learning.• Strengthen the hospital's connection with the community through outreach, education, and a focus on local health priorities.• Collaborate with other UCHealth CNOs to execute the system-wide nursing strategic plan.• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards and maintain current clinical practice knowledge.• Lead and sustain continuous quality improvement efforts and performance excellence initiatives. The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: Education/Certification• Bachelor's degree in nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or a healthcare-related field.• Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado or eligibility through the Nurse Licensure Compact.• Five or more years of nursing experience, with a minimum of two years in leadership roles. Preferred Experience and Skills• Proven success in leading nursing services in a community or acute care hospital setting.• Experience with Magnet® or Pathways to Excellence® standards.• Deep understanding of healthcare finance, operations, and strategic planning.• Demonstrated ability to lead change, motivate high-performing teams, and deliver on strategic initiatives.• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.• Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and staff development.• Strong track record of improving patient experience, quality outcomes, and employee engagement. Qualifications, Skills and Traits• Experience and knowledge achieving Pathways to Excellence and Magnet standards in demonstrating excellence in patient care desired. A focus on continuous improvement and process improvement methodology that will support operational and service excellence.• Assure the provision of quality patient care in accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice and ANA Code of Ethics.• Ensure that approved evidence-based standards of patient care and nursing practice are utilized in all areas providing nursing care.• Ability to drive patient experience results and hold ultimate accountability for monitoring and executing on patient experience tactics with the overall hospital goal to be in the 90th percentile.• Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to change with consideration of its impact on decision-making and planning. Assist with the development of indicators that will measure the impact of those efforts.• Perform other administrative/managerial duties as required/directed.Compensation Pay Range: $197,828 - $296,753 annually.
