What this job involves - The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for focusing on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. At the direction of supervisor, assists with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, monitoring and performance of all equipment including, but not limited to: electrical, refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, hot water systems, base building systems and emergency generators.What is the day to day Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical controls, single and three phase motors (single & two speed), bus plugs, interior/exterior lighting, battery chargers, fans, compressors, pumps, switching, motor controls, transformers, substation equipment, HVAC equipment, PLCs, and distribution systems ranging from 120v to 480v.Performs preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment which includes but not limited to: generators, exhaust fans, air conditioning equipment, boilers, water heaters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, motors, and dock doors, dock plates/levelers, dock heatersAssist other mechanics and electricians with repairs and maintenance of plumbing/piping/tubing, interior/exterior painting, line striping (paint sprayer), welding, snaking drains, repair of dock doors, repair of dock plates/levelers, building and equipment.Maintains tools and orders supplies as required for installation and repairs.
