Silverado Veterinary Hospital is looking to welcome an Associate DVM to our growing, multi-doctor practice in Napa, California. Experience and qualifications: We're open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including recent graduates. Top consideration will be given to veterinarians who are confident with surgery and dentistry and have excellent communication skills.Must be licensed (or able to become licensed) in the state of California for consideration. Scheduling: This is a full-time role comprised of four or five-day scheduling. We typically offer staggered shifts (8am-2pm or 2-8pm), and strive provide our DVMs consistent and equitable scheduling. Ideally, our next Associate will provide at least 1 evening shift per week, rotating Saturday coverage, and at least 1 Sunday every 6 weeks. (We are not a true emergency clinic, but do care for patients over the weekend.) Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree or higher in occupational therapy or a closely related field of study.Licensed currently, or in the process of obtaining a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) credential.A valid CA state drivers license.Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism related disabilities and emotional disturbance.Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in applied behavior analysis (ABA) preferred.Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals and next steps.Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.
