About the RoleThe Preschool Mandarin Teacher is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that will develop andimplement an instruction plan for young students in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms, emphasizingvocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The hours willbe 9am-6 pm. The role is a full-time position (40 hours).From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, you will get a chance to help preschool and pre-K classes on a need basis.You will alsoPlan, supervise, and implement the Mandarin curriculum in After-SchoolMaintain the Mandarin curriculum and materials at your schoolCollaborate with other faculty and staff membersCommunicate regularly with parents, school leaders, and other staff as appropriateAfter School TeacherAsa MandarinPreschoolAfter School Teacher at Stratford School, you will work as part of a team to develop a planofage-appropriate activities forthePreschoolstudents inour after-schoolimmersion program.
Theemphasis will be onsongs, stories, hands-on activities,vocabulary, listening,speaking, and much more.This person must beprofessionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children(3-5 years).The hours will be 3:30pm-6pm with a preparation hour from2pm-3:15pm.
What We Are Looking For
12 post-secondary semester or 18 quarter units in Early Childhood Education orrelated field at an accredited college or universityA Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Development or related field is preferredSix months or more experience working in a childcare center or programMust be fluent in both Mandarin and English languageMust be able to work in the U.S.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
