Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic proceduresAdministers and records isotope dosage in accordance to established departmental protocol. Observes patient during procedure and reports any abnormal activity. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School DiplomaRequires completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in AMA approved school.Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Preferred) License/Certification: BLS Certification or “Hands–On” CPR certificationRequires registration as a Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine by the StateRequires registration as a Certified Radiologic Technologist by the StateRequires NMTCB and/or A.R.R.T.(N) certificationRequires registration as an RT and CT Technologist by the A.R.R.T.SimonMed Imaging requires valid CPR certification Experience: 2 years of experience in radiology PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking. May be exposed to biohazards and chemicals as outlined in the MSDS Manual; and other hazards/unpleasant working conditions.
