You will be trained on the latest PET/CT procedures including but not limited to; Axumin, NETSPOT, Amyloid and Oncology Imaging. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and facility staff.Works under general supervision.Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Performs a variety of PET/CT procedures by following and verifying referring provider’s orders to provide images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.Performs Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Performs procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures.Processes data and enhancing digital images using advanced computer technology.Performs Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology.Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and documents PACS imaging.Operates equipment safely and maintains SimonMed standards while performing all types of procedures.Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic proceduresAdministers and records isotope dosage in accordance to established departmental protocol. Observes patient during procedure and reports any abnormal activity. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
