S/he is able to coordinate care not only for individual patients, but also to lead the care delivery of multiple patients in the nursing care area in accordance with policies and procedures of the Hospital. This position serves as resource of information and coordinates all activities within the Telemetry. Responsibilities and related duties to be carried out by the Charge Nurse as delegated by the Nurse Manager with the appropriate level of authority and ability to utilize independent judgment to ensure compliance. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse required. 2. Current CPR certification required. 3. ACLS required. 4. Current NIHSS certificate required. 5. Demonstrated expertise in the clinical area, and leadership ability preferred. 4. Basic knowledge of computer (Word, Excel, and e-mail functions). 5. BSN preferred, MSN desired. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. 2. Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required. 3. Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire (ACLS required within 6 months for new grad RNs). 4. Current NIHSS certificate required within 6 months of hire.5.
