This will require that the supervisor work in a warehouse and office environment. He/she will ensure that all assigned duties are accomplished safely and timely. The work schedule for this position will require the ability to cover other shifts as needed. Flexibility is required in regard to work week schedules and start and end times. Part-time management employees are generally expected to work 5 1/2 hours per day and are paid weekly. Responsibilities:Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot.Must be experienced in Word, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Must be able to supervise and train employees effectively.Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with department, station, corporate and local government requirements.Must be comfortable with decision making and have excellent time management skills.Self-motivated and works well with limited direct supervision.Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, pro-active communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continual improvement on all levels.Perform daily tolerance testing of all DWS equipment.Must follow UPS appearance guidelines.Perform other duties that may be assignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - PreferredAbility to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.Availability to work flexible shift hours, five days per week or more if required.Strong oral and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a fast-paced warehouse environmentManagement experience - PreferredA good understanding of supervising union employees and follow the UPS union contract preferred.Salary- Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The base pay for this position ranges from $25.70/hr to $41.80/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
