We are unique in that we have a rich and storied history dating back to 1843, but that hasn't stopped us from evolving into a vibrant, diverse, global growth company.Job SummaryInstalls, maintains, and repairs industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.Essential Functions and Job ResponsibilitiesEnsures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.Locates sources of problems by observation; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Troubleshoots 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls.Uses calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for determining dimensional data of components.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Uses electrical meters to identify voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, etc. of various types of electrical circuits.Able to communicate with various levels of personnel (Maintenance leadership, production leadership, and equipment operators).Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.Rigs equipment for installation or relocation, as directed.Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, positions sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.Possesses knowledge of robotic machinery.Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.QualificationsJob Requirements:Education:This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree.
