The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.The Automotive Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements: Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently. Responsibilities: Provides support on HVAC construction job by reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project.Provides the required laying out of the roof penetrations and ducting; and laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman.Provides assistance to the Construction foreman as needed on the job.Provides support by coordinating and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and material costs.Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.Knowledge of carpentry.Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Performs other duties as assigned.
